Pair of Keets in Portland: Healthier Home with Keeps Furniture
A home that feels as good as it looks.
In Portland’s St. Johns neighborhood, a pair of homes called the Keets are rethinking what a modern home can be.
Designed by a/A Architecture, the project puts health and well-being at the center of every decision; from the way the homes breathe to the materials that fill them.
When we brought Keeps Architect Beds and Nightstands into the bedrooms, that shared philosophy felt right at home.

The Keets dwellings prioritize sustainable sourcing, high-performance construction, and materials chosen with care for the people who live with them.
Keeps shares that commitment through FSC-certified solid American oak and VOC-free, linseed oil-based finishes. Furniture made with natural materials doesn't use engineered wood, added adhesives, or toxic finishes common in conventional furniture.
Because a healthier home is about more than what goes into the walls. It's about the furnishings you bring inside.

Coming in 2027, the Keets will offer a chance to experience this approach to living firsthand, with plans for overnight stays and appointments for Portland-area visitors to explore the homes, and see Keeps furniture in its natural habitat.
A more considered way to live, from the ground up.
